The Show

On the way to her Grandmother’s house through a forest filled with howling wolves, Red Riding Hood must stay alert to the danger surrounding her.  Straying from the path our feisty heroine, a charcoal-burner’s daughter, needs to use her wits in order to survive a hungry wolf.

Norwich Puppet Theatre’s retelling of this classic folktale draws on the story’s origins in the oral tradition, together with versions by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. We all know the tale of Little Red Riding Hood, but which story do you know? Stay alert as events will unravel in ways you may not expect.

Follow our eponymous heroine into the woods where you can expect a rich mix of puppetry, music, song, inventive staging and witty dialogue. This production brings a fresh twist to a well-loved tale using a feast of visual innovation and extraordinary puppet theatre.
