The Four Friends is presented by Luminous Tales

Donkey wants to become the world’s first Singing Donkey, so he sets off for the big city. Along the way he makes friends who sing along with him. Have you ever heard animals sing? Well the noise these animals make is so frightening it scares away some dangerous characters they meet and the animals continue on their way, unharmed, to seek their fame and fortune.

Designed and performed by Zannie Fraser who has been making and performing puppet shows for over 20 years and brings her own unique humour to every show. Based loosely on the Grimm’s tale of the Musicians of Bremen, the story is told with a brightly coloured, giant pop up book and characterful, articulated puppets leaping through the pages.

A show about how it’s never too late to find your own voice and make new friends. Colourful puppetry, silly mask characters and bags of audience interaction make this a fun and rowdy show for everyone.

The show is approximately 40 minutes long and will be followed by a drop-in style workshop where all audience members can get crafty with a making activity. In this workshop, participants can make a pop-up scene, as well as joining in with some other activities. Participants will have a total of 1h 30m in the space to watch the show, make some puppets and have a picnic if they want to.
