About Us

COVID-19 / Coronavirus

Following official government advice issued on Monday 16 March, which stipulates that people should avoid public buildings, including theatres, we regret to announce that Norwich Puppet Theatre will be closed from today, to help slow the spread of COVID-19/Coronavirus.

The Theatre will remain closed until further notice and will re-open as soon as possible, following government recommendations.

Please note that this new advice was delivered to us at the same time as it was announced publicly yesterday and was not accompanied by any specific and more detailed instructions. We are working through the significant consequences and outcomes of this for our organisation, staff, freelance artists and customers as quickly as we can and we will keep you updated through our website and social media.

We will be in touch with cutomers directly regarding the options available to you for postponed or cancelled events. Accepting your refund in the form of a credit voucher would be an enormous help to us in these very uncertain times. Some may even consider donating the cost of their cancelled tickets back to us, in recognition of our small charity status, but we appreciate that not everyone is in a position to do this. Please know that you and your family's continued support as future audience members and workshop attendees means everything to us.

Please bear with us – we will contact customers on an ongoing basis. Our small team will be very busy so please do not email or telephone regarding your booking, you will hear from us in due course.

This is an unprecedented event for all venues which could make many futures uncertain.

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty.

Best wishes

I B Woods
